With the euros starting tomorrow I thought I would check out who you lot think will win.
My thoughts:
Winners: Germany or Netherlands
I think it will depend on what happens in there group as it pretty much is a group of death especially with Portugal and Denmark who could sneak a surprise result against either of those teams and put them in some problems.
I don't hold much hope for England, I think we will be lucky to get out of out group.
If there is a surprise team then I think it might be Poland

Yep, I think if Van Persie continues his form from the premier league, and Robben and Sneijder play well then the dutch are going to be pretty damn difficult to beat.
But as you said it all depends on the group stage because that is one mighty tough group.

I try to guess the semi: Germany, Netherland, Spain, X. X can be any team, maybe on good form, maybe some luck (lucky goals, referee errors etc). It seems England, Italy and France are struggling still, they do not seem to have proper quality young players to replace the old guys. England needs new Giggs', Backhams, Italy needs stronger defense. France needs someone like Pires and/or Zidane. Just cant think of anyone who can just imitate Zidane (am a huge Zidane fan btw).
Germany was the biggest surprise 2 years ago. The old german football style: strong, a bit slow, but effective with concrete defense and an Oliver Kann as goalkeeper. Look at it now, they changed into something elastic, liquid tactics. Much faster, much more creative, capable of adopting to a lot of situations.

Well I didn't expect the Netherlands to lose against Denmark.
Only themselves to blame really, but well played Denmark, they came with a game plan and it worked a treat.
Gawd I thought the Germans were slightly lucky last night. After a complete bore fest of a game they get a sneaky goal. But 3 points is 3 points.
Big game today, with Spain and Italy but I am not expecting it to be a great game. Italy will probably look to hold out for a draw which will be a good result for them.
But I do think Balotelli, no matter how much I think is a complete tool could be the key for Italy in actually beating Spain.
The other match, I fully expect Croatia to beat Republic of Ireland, which probably means Ireland will win that one as predicting things is not in my repertoire.

No one did expect it over here!Unbelievable! Sow much chances and not even 1 goal. It's the badest footbal i have ever seen from netherlands i guess....

Gosh, what a disappointment yesterdays match was... I missed the first 20 minutes because I was driving home from France. (A 9 hour drive and as always we left 30 minutes later than we planned lol!) At one point, after another missed opportunity, I was wondering why I hurried home and drove the last 4 hours without a break to make it home on time... :\ I wasn't too impressed with Germany or Portugal either though, so maybe we can still make it through this phase...
