Some of you know it already but i loooove maps, I even started to make my own

unfortunately you can't play 'em in ql with mates, just in practice mode

anyway! Is there anyone else in here that's into ql/q3 mapping, or even mapping for other games as well?

Or anyone that would like to try it out and don't know how to begin?

Or just anyone that likes maps alot and would like to play some q3 maps that isn't in quake live?

This is the official drunk mapping/maps thread, so lets jsut discuss the wonderful world of quake maps in any way possible

I played your CTF map on Q3 and thought it had loads of potential

Oh mapping is cool! I doubt I have time to make my own map, since I have hardly time to play some games during working weeks.
But i'd love to try your maps in practice mode and comment on that nice !

i binned that one wooks
was too much i had to change on it to make it play more smoothly. im working on a duel/ffa/small team map now im not that far from done actually, just need to work alot on the details and texturing.

ive promised fir3star to do a remake of q1dm4 for q3/ql, so i think i'll do that when im done with this one

tomato-guy: i guess thats the one i'm working on, have been lazy on the mapping latly but then i had an idea how to change the item layout and started to make some textures as well, so now im back in business ;D. almost just details and boring stuff left now
Me kanzo and nitrogen played ca and ft vs bots on it yesterday, the bots won hunter have 60+ acc in q3... WITH LG! this is crazy xD

I'd love to try out some larger maps for ffa/tdm/ctf that's not available on ql. so if you have quake 3 and some good mod (i use edawn now it got some different gametypes and rulesets supports green armor (standard q3a doesn't) etc.) and like to test some maps, or have a fav map from back in the days that you miss, please let me know

ive changed alot since you played it tho, item wise that is. will change a stair in mid too that was hard to texture in a nice way as it is now

ive worked alot on this map latly and thought i would share it with you guys would be nice with some input as well

i have a q3a version as well if you want it, its in the cpma thread

jsut put it in youre baseq3 folder, open a practice game in ql and write /map mhj-t1 in the console. add some cool bots and frag like you have never fragged before

theres a mega health in duel and a quad damage in all other game modes, no ctf support but might add that later for the lols

just updated the map, this will be the final release no big difference added a couple steps on a stair and changed teh light a bit. heres a ql version as well

/map mhj-t1 in console might be in the voting list as well no clue if it works though :S

in q3a you could just pick it in your map list (preferably in osp/cpma/edawn or other mod that supports green armors).

oh i made a little simple space map too, nothing too serious got inspired of a 20-brushes-only competition, max 20 brushes, not sure how many i used but its less than 20, 19 or 18 maybe? made it completely from scratch during one night, textures and everything thought id share it even tho i just made it for fun

Do you have a q3 version of t1?
(for some reason I can't launch it on ql)

I tested the space map, all the bots finished with negative score
