Is this what you are talking about lowlife? I saw at the 1:17 mark there's a section marked Amigos. I sure hope that's QL amigos and not Steam amigos. That's the biggest issue for me is keeping friend and clan lists.

You will still have a friends list. As far as the Clan List, I think Swampy said he was going to keep this site up? The only thing is, unless someone knows, well I guess no one knows, Yet... I am just wondering about the Tag? Can we control who gets it? I know we can control the Group, but? ? 
By the way, I sent you and Gangland a friend request in Steam.. |

Now I'm REALLY hoping that Amigos section is for QL friends and not Steam friends. I just logged on to accept lowlife's friend request then thought, while I'm here I might as well send an invite to the rest of the clan. No dice. Every single person I tried to send an invite to caused Steam to tell me their friend list is already full. There's a maximum amount of friends you can have on Steam?

As I have searched, you can have a max of 250. As you gain points, it adds more Friend Slots. As far as sending invites to the rest of the Clan, it does not do you any good anyway if they are not on Steam. As far as being on Steam,, you get a lot more Perks if you buy something. The minimum is $5. If its $ in your Steam account or Buy a Game. Other wise its like QL. You get nothing unless you Buy some thing.
I was going to see if I could help out Friends with Gifts, of $5 in their Steam account (those with 0) and others who migrate over. Unfortunatly, you cannot do that any more. You can Gift to friends, but now you have to Put it in yourself for it to count on Your Account.  |

Maybe Steam is just being temperamental. I tried adding DSG, Squidd, Gangland, Swampy and Dyno to my friends list and Steam told me they all had maxed out their friends slots but they all have different numbers of friends so I'm not sure why it said their lists are full. It took me 2 days worth of trying just add my avatar awhile back. Apparently everyone was having problems adding avatars the very day I tried to add mine. I think Steam might be as buggy as QL.

I have been told it will be steam friends only.
As for clans it will also be covered by steam via groups and stuff.
But clan lists will also vanish. (confirmed by sponge)
Forums will always stay open. As me and swampy have put way too much time into all this to just let it all close.

Forums will always stay open. As me and swampy have put way too much time into all this to just let it all close. Yep..Over 5 years of thewookster and swampy work.. This forum will stay up.. We are a home to many people and are not going anywhere. Besides.. It's much more fun here then the basic mini forum Steam gives you for a "Group"..  |

Must be a glitch.. I'm just figuring out my Steam account in preparing for the move.. I only have 5 friends on list. I also haven't spent any $ on Steam and understand after $5 some things unlock? He was added 16 times, by Money Spenders. The post that Funky did in QL Forums, got a hit that explained it all. I wish I could help Clan members out, but as was stated , "A Gifts Does Not Count" .............................. |

With docp, we added him because he couldn't add anyone to start with.
He gave us web link to his profile and we added him that way.

I think the people who have paid for games can still invite people who haven't had any activity. But they can't actually add people. Which explains why docp couldn't add anyone either

By default, you can have up to 250 friends. As you interact in Steam and play/purchase games, upload pictures, comment, w/e you earn a higher level, giving you some small benefits, one of which is a larger friends list. (I think I can have 325 right now) Although, since Steam is free to download and create an account, there needs to be a filter in place so that bots or spammers don't create mass accounts and add people like crazy. Therefore, until you spend $5 in the Steam Store for something, your account is a bit limited. Bots can do lots of things on the internet.. But they don't spend $5  Read more about it here. The interesting thing is that if you refund a purchase and drop below $5, you go back to limited.. Not sure why, but I'm not the one in charge also wow, didn't realize everyone answered the same question lol. oops |
