What is the command to make yourself appear in the team overlay section in the corner of the screen? I've seen it posted somewhere once before but I've searched and searched and can't seem to find it again, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Not sure what you mean? Can you explain more? Was it a user script? or a console command? or something on the HUD?

It's some console command. In the upper right corner of my screen I've got a list of all my teammates, their health, their armor and where they are located on the map. It's been so long since I enabled that feature that I can't remember the console command for that one either. (cg_drawteamoverlay 1...?) What I want to do is add myself to that list, not just my teammates.
I want to use it to learn the proper names of all the locations on various maps. Right now when I play freeze tag and see the location of a frozen teammate listed I'm not always sure where that is exactly. Although I'm sure it would help me on most team based games as well.
