Stupid me.. Just kick me.. I'm used to OSX except I also use Windows on my macbook (dual boot OSX and Win7) for TV recording and playing QL. Opened it up to check the fan for overheating.. Nope..She's clean..No crashes in OSX even when heavily multitasking. A PC friend asked when I defragged last.. D'oh (we don't have to defrag in OSX).. Yep..windows was 29% fragmented.. llol.. Also ran CCleaner which gave back a gig of space.. all good now..

Yep defragging is so annoying. I don't use the windows defragmenter though much better free third party options out there that don't take a billion hours to complete.
Also having to clean the registry aswell is annoying.
Is it Apple's fault that things aren't as compatible for mac's as they should be, or is it because Mac's just aren't as popular as PC's so developers don't really bother with proper Mac compatibility?

I used AVG PC tune up tools.. The defragger only took 45 minutes for a 160 gig h/d..
It's Id's bad coding for QL that keeps me from running it in OSX.. CCleaner took 5 minutes with the registry.. I'll go rule of thumb and set up an auto defrag schedule once a week when I sleep..
What a pain in the ass compared to how simply OSX runs... Kicks Bill Gates in the nuts..
At least on the PC side.. I'm finding some of the same software (free) that I run in OSX.. iTunes, Handbrake, VLC for playing movies, Gimp for photo editing etc.. So I'm not having to use crudware or nagware
