I think I spoke to some of you before about this, and I've been refining the idea a little bit.
How about we liven up our practices by introducing one of the most difficult gamemodes of them all- the Duel. After playing some Duels with a few of you guys, I'm getting the feeling that we all could go pretty far in it; it's just a matter of practice and fun. So how about we do Drunk Duel Dares?
DDD, as far as I've thought it out, could consist of us looking at the entire clan (well, the entire active <DNA> roster). Specifically, we look at the total number of points earned in a specific gamemode. This will happen once a month; so we can focus our gameplay in that particular gamemode if we so choose (e.g. CTF one month, then CA, then FFA, or something like that). The person with the highest total number of points will be able to challenge anybody to a Duel- but only one map. The person with the second highest also does the same, and the person with the third highest goes as well.
To make it a little fairer, we could only look at a certain number of matches (obviously, some people will end up playing more matches than others). For example, we could look at only the scores of the last ten matches leading up to the day of DDD.
Another element we could introduce to DDD is one where the winners of each Duel go on to face each other, and we continue until one person is left standing. This "winner" will be able to choose the gamemode for the next month (the gamemode we'll be using to determine the top players for the next DDD).
Hopefully this will give us more of an incentive to play new gamemodes and have fun, and perhaps introduce a little more competition to our friendly group!

Cool idea. Has been fun playing duels with you guys. Next time we gotta remember to make a private server. QLranks popping in right in the middle of a pummeling and broadcasting to the world is slightly embarrassing. I know Brainie wants to do CTF too. Love me some CTF lately!! Anyone open to TDM and I'm in too. Never any TDM servers.  ))  |

I've had some whoopings of mine visited by QLRanks a while back as well, Gangland! I would love to practice some duels in any way with you guys, it would be loads of fun and would help all of us improve. DDD sounds pretty cool, and I'm sure if something doesn't turn out right we can fix it up to make it work out.

I make a motion to alter the Drunk Duel Dares as just "Drunk Duel Nights"...
I motion also that Fridays and Saturdays be Duel Nights.

Dueled with IRS last night! He took one and I took the other. Messed up and started a public room and some T4 guy came and started owning. Looking forward to more DDDUUUEEELLLLSS..  |
