What do you guys think about this Reflex game?  I've been following it on facebook, don't know anything about it other than that.  Looks like a Quake knockoff to me so it might be fun.

On a side note, never played it but Battlefield 3 is a free download for PC until June 3!  Free is exactly the right price for me to give it a try.  Unless someone else has it I'll be going by FunkyFlava so look for me.

Reflex looks good, reminds me or warsow. Hopefully it gathers a following and we can have fun with it soon!

Also, downloading BF3 now. Great catch, I never would have looked for it!

Kind of pointless tbh.

We have quake and warsow which aren't any different, the new unreal tournament is being made and reborn is in development. I would rather see all these developers join forces and create one game, multiple similar games just divide this already small community even more.

That's a really good point, quality wise. If multiple games under different names can reach out to a wider audience and spread the love of the genre, then that's great. However, a real quality game from combining ideas and teams would be better for the game's lifespan and community in general. If the only people playing these new games only came from an existing scene (like former QL players, etc.), then the creation of each game is redundant. A combination would be most effective.

Reflex looks pretty good. I don't know if I could get into BF3. I have watched Gameplay of it and Halo. I know if I tried to get into it I would end up like this-
