Coming back to the conversation a little late. Had a great time playing with blindlight, lowlife, and drunk_rabbit this weekend. Definitely some great potential for this clan if we all come together and get a game plan going!!!
Lowlife is spot on with his assessment. I am +back player and like to set traps. I "can" play offense, but right now I'm severely limited in hardware, and get horrible input lag do to virtualization (playing on a macbook pro with wine-wrapper). This should be fixed soon, getting a new PC this week (fingers crossed).
I think every game i played this weekend all you guys were on the other teams which was cool. I think everyone in the clan is great. Saw some really good play from you guys!! I think that we will all raise each others game by playing with and watching each other.

I also play with wine wrapper but I dont get that bad lag at all, its tempting to blame hardware for me but then i was getting 45% lg today so i know its possible. which wrapper are you using? do you force accel off with killmouseaccel or smoothmouse? I got really bad mouse input when i tried to make my own but I tried the one danko from portingteam.com made and it works fine except for some screen tearing. not like it matters since youre getting new pc though I guess. I have used bootcamp in the past but found i just played more when i didnt have to reboot

Its called Crossover. SquirrelWrangler turned me onto it. It runs better for me that winewrapper, but when I dig into the app, it's actually just a skinned version of winewrapper  /. AND they want you to pay for it after 14 days.. I triend dankos and docs from the same post and got the same screen tearing as well as input lag. I had bootcamp which ran awesome, but the trial version ran out and I'm just not the guy to steal/burn/hack software anymore. I run a script to kill the mac accel, then use in_mouse 2 to get rawmouse to the QL app. The problem I'm having is with the keys. I get horrible input lag switching weapons. Sometimes 1-2 seconds just to switch! This really screws me because I tend to put myself into situations where I need to switch quickly and I get deaded really quick while im +backing and hammering on the nades or rockets key. I know that there is imposed lag if your taking damage, but it's nowhere near what I'm getting. I've found it's the worst when there is alot going on or alot of people in the server. 1 on 1 is better but still noticeable. ( |

Thats really strange I definitely dont experience anything like that except the screen tearing, was playing fastweap switch other night and working fine so its either hardware/videocard or something I dunno. you can access a lot of prefs from wine inside the app package and install extra dlls, change windows video and mouse setting and stuff. I definitely notice its choppy when i spec you. well, if anything it will be like taking a big handicap off once you get a new setup

Hey! New to the clan, thanks for the invite. Just here to say hi, play some games, make friends and maybe do some more competitive play. I'll be online often and rarely, on and off because I am a student, but I try to prioritize and make some time for some fun when I can.  |

Welcome. The Drunk Clans, are known for being easy going none high pressure bunch. I have been waiting for the Drunk Clan to do a NA since I have been on QL. You are going to like it here.

Thanks, guys! And yeah, I've heard about the clan and I'm excited for it as as well. I also plan to dabble in some TDM, duel and iFT a bit. I've played QL for about a year and never really had a chance to learn with others, so it should be fun.

we had some fun the other night getting stomped but I finally got used to 100ms and now its amazing when i come back to east servers hehe. where are you located squid?

I'm over on the far east side of US, lowest pings at DC, Washington and VA, Ashburn servers. But I've played at least one game on pretty much every US server without problems.
