I'm a bit scared since I got to tier 4 straight from the start with my primary account. (FFA)
I will probably get slaughtered now every time I play, because I'm really not that good.
Oh well, for me it's mostly for fun (and nostalgia) and I don't mind losing too much, it's part of gaming, but I see people whine so much about tier 4 that I get scared.

I guess that is the saving grace, if you really get beat up you get 'demoted'.

It depends on your skilrating,above 100 you get the gold.
If you end a match and are with the best 30 procent your skilrating goes up.
If you end with the last 30 procent your rating goes down and between it stays the same.
I believe from rating 70/75.... you get tier 4.
