My favorite drink was an orange hefeweizen that I brewed based on a recipe from Sam Calagione's book. It was so good that I ended up drinking the bottles that I meant to give away to friends....

Went to the pub last night while the other half was at the Gym (im so supportive ;D ) And the pub had a brewery promotion on some bottled beers. So I browsed the selection and saw one called "Waggle Dance" and was like that's a cool name I'll have that one. It's soooooooooo nice and dirt cheap aswell I think it was £1.80 ($2.89) which is an absolute steal in this country for beer. It's got a hint of honey to it which makes it less bitter than say your average beer. I am going to have to bulk buy from the pub later on as I looked at the supermarket this morning while doing the weekly shop and couldn't find it anywhere. Anyway's here's some more info on it tinyurl.com/24xwqb2

I'm liking more smooth and easy drinking beer at my old age. Also for those of you who think Americans drink piss.. We have had for 20 years now a great selection of microbrewery's.. We do have great beer here.. As its summer here and hitting 95f I go once a week to a brewery in the French Quarter and drink fresh unfiltered Weissbier.. mmm

I've only tried one American "proper" beer which was quite good.
Only problem is I can't remember what it's called.
Errrrrrrm
Pyramid something.
I'll try google and then edit.
Pyramid Hefeweizen thats what it's called.
But when im over there next summer I will make sure to try some obscure ones. Because it seems the more obscure the better.

Just had the most rancid beer ever. Will post a pic of the offending item so every drunk clan member can avoid it at all costs.

;D
Well I blamed the missus. She came back with it from the supermarket and was like "some bloke I work with said it's nice, so I thought i'd get it"
I had reservations when I first looked at it, but thought well she went to the effort of getting it for me so what the heck.
Never again.
Well let's just say I had a few choice words about her work mate lol.
So washed it down with a few magners pear ciders to get rid of the cacky manky disgusting after taste.
But on a good note, I have some special Bavarian beers coming tomorrow from a mate who has just got back from his work trip.
I will see what they are and what there like when they arrive and have been appreciatively drunk.
I have one bottle left which I am going to give to my worst enemy or as a first prize in the duelling contest so the wook wins ;D

I love ciders,, Don't get too many shipped to the swamp.. My problem with them..they go down cold and sweet in the swamp heat. But that damned sugar hangover the next day!..

Absolutely.
I love an ice cold cider when it's a warm day.
Cider and summer just go together.
We have some good ciders across the pond. But i'm liking the pear ciders at the moment though.
Stella Artois have done a cider called cidre (see dra) which is alright not as good as some of the bigger names, but a decent attempt never the less.

Dude! Don't harsh on the lambics!
Those Belgian's know what they're doing. I mean, just think about Chimay! (Though, I keep pronouncing that like Timmy from South Park.)
