Haven't been on QL much lately, because I'm in love!

I use to play the violin at school. But just found I didn't have the patience for it. The only reason I took up playing the violin is because my parents paid me to do it.

I wonder if I picked up a violin now whether I would remember how to play, because it has been about 15-16 years since I stopped playing (showing my age )

Very jealous. They had to pay you?! Where were your priorities? All they had to do was tell you all the girls want the musicians with the nimble fingers.

I tried and tried to play violin. My father wouldn't get me lessons unless I showed proficiency with it. It was terrible. Everyone kept kicking me out of the house. I woke up one morning and it was just gone.

I bet you would remember. It might take a couple of minutes, but it comes back to you. I think the worst of it would be remembering how to read the sheet music.

I will have a go next year when we move house. Because at the moment it is in the loft (attic) and I won't see it until we move house next year.

Plus with it not being used in many many years it will need a bit of TLC, well a lot of TLC.

I've played all sort of instruments...well played...not really play,but tried
My nephew has a rock band,and 1 time when i whas drunk and they where giving a concert during their brake,i climb on the podium and began to hit the drums:)
All this public screaming at me lol,i had never played drums before

I come from a very musical family. My step brother and I turned our old barn into a sound studio. Many wasted musical nights where we only sounded awesome in our heads.

I play over a dozen instruments myself, but no where near a professional level. Just like to play around.

Wooks - you might want to take it into a shop before trying to play it. Especially if it's been exposed to a humid environment.
