lolol. I am not a bit cat fan if I am being purrrfectly honest (I'll get my coat) They are blaming cats for dwindling bird populations over here, which is probably true because they hunt purely for sport, and are one of the planets most efficient predators. It's the way they go about things, catch a mouse or bird, injure it, let it go, catch it again, let it go, catch it again. Ok I'm bored now I think the torture is over and snaps the neck with it's bite and goes to find something else. lolol Evil things. But saying that Coco one of my dogs caught a pigeon, just walking along then all of a sudden it fluttered in front of her and she launched at it and proceeded to give it a pretty violent attack. With me shouting and running telling the bloody dog to drop it. Then the unenviable task of putting the poor pigeon out of it's misery. But it is pretty amazing that cats have kept such a strong hunting instinct after many many years of breeding and domestication.

It's in their first nature, they don't need to learn it, unlike humans who are born 'brainless'. Also I am happy with my cat as it keeps rats and such away. Although I had a good laugh

Their evil nature is why we love them. If they were a bit bigger, they'd enslave us all.
I'm much more of a dog person. But I never had a cat get sprayed by a skunk, run through the pet door and rub themselves all over my couch and bed. Never had a cat get eaten because he yipped at a mountain lion.
We had a cat that would sexually assault females when they came over. Rub up against you a couple of times, make his way to your lap and next thing you know he's kneading your ta-tas and purring. He had some evil swagger. What's not to love?

Hehe I'm not much of a cat fan either. I hate them pooing and peeing in YOUR garden (nooo, they don't do it in their own garden, they do it in everyone elses). And I hate cats attacking prey for the fun of it (I know it's instinct) and just leaving the poor prey to die slowly. I have the same problem with fishing, throwing it back after catching it is just cruel. If you're gonna eat the fish sure, but don't fish just to throw it back with a hole in it's mouth so it can get caught by the next one! I think they are much too independent, they aren't loyal to their bosses most of the time. What else...lolol. Now I sound like a cat hater, which I'm not. Some cats are kinda cute, but I'd never think of taking one as a pet myself. *rant over* Also...Dogs are awesome and a (wo)man's best friend!! Laughed very hard at your link Swampy

I love cats :)
No honestly cats are awesome, especially if they are smart like my cat ;) Well I have 2 but one of them is pretty stupid lolololol
Oh and jorinde it doesnt actually hurt fish if you catch them and they don't get caught easier by other fish so it doesnt really matter ;D (my dad is a professional fisher so I know that :P)

Ah Yes Tomacco is totally right, my uncle is a profesionall fisher aswell, also writes for some fishing magazine's. A fish barely feels anything of the hook. Also it doesn't effect their sensory and movements. Also sometimes you catch fish that you can't eat.

Of course people that fish would say it doesn't hurt them. We all like to believe the pieces of information that fit in our 'alley' of thought. Recent research has shown that fish CAN feel pain, so as a fishing hater, I'm more inclined to believe the latter. Having said that, I'd like to point out that I'm not saying either is true, since we can't ask the fish how they feel lol.
And apparently your cat is an exception to the rule Prophy, good cat. Personally I like the cats that take after dogs the most. (Like fetching stuff and returning it so you can throw it again.)

We never said fish can't be hurt or feel pain. But such a needle isn't much of a big deal. A human can have a tiny scratch, so can fish they aren't made of sugar, else they will melt in the water However my cat doesn't return stuff, it's rather uninterested, perhaps due to it's previous life as a tramp. So she doesn't trust much I guess.

I'm sure the fish that gets thrown back is much happier than the fish getting thrown in the pan!

I'm sure the fish that never get caught are even happier! That is Fish propaganda! All fish live for the day when I can cook them!
