WTF? Now they are predicting a direct hit on New Orleans.. Bad for me as I'm still in a wheelchair and if the city shuts down..It will be awhile before all is good. It could really f00k up the 3'rd surgery on my leg. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I stayed for Katrina and the city descended into total chaos.I've some pictures buried that I took of the damage. I'll try to dig them up.. |

Yuck. I used to live in Florida. We used to have hurricane parties. Buddies, booze, batteries, bug spray, a bucket, and bitchin tunes
The nursing home I worked for in Iowa took in Katrina Evacuues. Great bunch of people, couldn't get them to sit and relax, just wanted to keep helping.
Hopefully it'll just blow right on past. Stay safe!!

k It's made landfall. We are getting 60mph+ winds already and are 6-7 hours away from a direct hit. Gonna play QL and Urban Terror until the power gets killed.. |

that sounds terrible...
there was a storm couple a days ago and the power went off for a whole night.
not a big deal, but 2 friends of mine were at my house, we wanted to play some civilization 3(shame on you if you don't know it, google it)
we ended up playing a card game the whole night...
(the game is really good though, can only recommend it, it is called 'wizard')

Friday night.. Power just came on.. Hot bath soon.. Got the A/C on..5 days of 90f + heat was a bitch.. My Internet came right on..YAY. Yer lucky.. my power was killed when I was compressing qrunk vs myst. I'll have to redo it.. lol And food.. I want some proper food.. |
