Server settings when starting a Pub server.. (Read 714 times)

Nice stuff.. When Pro account starts a Pub server.. So many more settings! PQL is now ranked,

Blah ,blah blah, etc.. I'm playing with the settings and basically setting up a Pub CTF server for about 2 hours every evening to get feedback.

Should have things tweaked to a more middle of the road approach by the weekend.

Why for Pub servers? Because even after this update enough people won't go Pro to play Pro/Prem servers..

But there are so many more things I can do when starting a Pub server.

I'm taking feedback from the people playing and should have a good balance on things soon..

I do like that after I decide on what I want..I can Export the server settings. Bookmark them..


I still wish that when you admin a server you could change settings ingame on the fly like other games.. Oh well..

Oh yeah,when I make a server,is it for prem only or for all users?Or I can choose?

You can decide yourself bangi,

If you wish to play premium maps, then the server automatically becomes a premium only server.

But you have to state that when setting up the match.

But you can invite 5 people so not a problem.

You can also make the server invite only, friends only or public.

or passworded if you want it to be visible for everyone, but not public all the new gametypes + ft are premium only as well as pql. made a couple of settings thats close to pql/cpm thats avalible for standards but unranked though

and this one is even more close to cpm (cpma 1.48 that is) some smaller tweaks of my own though like sg damage with 6 in inner ring and 4 in outer, since its not possible to make a 6dmg*16pellets sg

oh and the pql for standards isnt exactly like pql, you cant tweak maxrespawntime, and im not sure walk friction and wak accel is correct? gets grayed out when you click air control?

oh, and in ffa dont forget to add "sv_warmupReadyPercentage 50" so you dont have to /allready every match

Played crazy duel with Skty,made gravity 0,full railjump,air control,rockets splash max,rate of fire lowest,so it was like mg,knockback max.Mg was 25 dmg xd

I've found a way to enable flight on a pub/standard server.. But being a reformed swampy, I've sent in a bug ticket to QL.
