i think im finnally starting to improve at quake, i just checked my tiers today, and im tier 3 everything (except FreezeTag) and tier 2 CA, ive played 5days of gametime now, but i think im getting there.

Speaking of tiers: I'm t4 at duel again! Hell yeah!
It happens from time to time, when I win a match. Those who duelled with me know it doesn't mean I'm strong, just that the tiers system is not really accurate

nah the duel tier system is proper rubbish. definitely needs tinkering with somehow, but don't have any ideas as how to improve it though.

Official skill rating + QL Ranks still gives a good approximation.
And tbh, even if the system is "broken", I don't think it's a problem in duel (it is in public team games).

I remember when it looked like this for me
Not too long ago, probably around 6 months.
The skill difference between T3 and T4 CA is pretty high and hard to master when you first get to T4...

Yeah i'm having the problem right now,keep switching between t3 and t4.
If i play 1 game t3 and i rule.
Then i come in t4 and get shoot from all site's.Well not al the time,but mostly...
Think i have to be more carefull in t4,because in t3 i just keep attacking and win.
Very often i'm the only one who's alive and kill the hole other team,me against 3/4 haha lol.
But i just will keep practicing till i can do that in t4:)
Some tips maybe how you managed it?

The switching from T3 to T4 ended after playing with a mate 2v2 while in teamspeak(not really talking about the game, only random shenanigans)
He was alot better than me and we played vs better opponents, I think thats a good way to improve.

In my opinion everyone has another formula, some people get better by playing 5v5 all the time, and some by playing 2v2, find out by yourself.

As you may noticed I whored the hell out of LG and since it is probably the most used gun in T4 or at least the gun you get taken down with fastest(lol) it is really useful to know when and how to use it AND how to counter it, so have a look at an enemy who is very hard to hit with lg and look how he dodges...try to do it yourself

I am in the same boat, keep switching between 3 and 4.

But after being out for ages I'm expecting to be stuck in t3 for a while.

I'm going to have to have an all day session to get back in the swing of things.

Reason for delay is because the graphics card I ordered was a dud and just wouldn't work. I tried with the onboard graphics but they were just god damn awful and not very good.

So fingers crossed that will arrive tomorrow morning so I can get back to some proper quake playing

Also tried to get my pro subscription but for some reason it's refusing both my cards.

I tried my Visa Debit Card and my Visa credit card but just kept saying unable to process order.

I dunno, so now going to have to "borrow" the missus' mastercard and hope that solves it.

I, as "King of the Drunks" Am drinking copiously in the hopes of leaving Tier 3 (cusp on 4 sometimes) CTF.

In the hopes that I will land in Tier 2.. Yes! I will rule!
