Basically, still trying to remember all the settings from when i played Quake 3 Arena 1.30.. like cg_fov, getting rid of your rail, making your enemies look like a radio active metal chicken, etc.. There was another option, to make your view of the map look plain, none of those wall colors or extra lights.. making your view more clear who is where in a clusterfuck-shotout.. I can't even remember the part of the command for the console, but i know it capps at 12.. although I usely put it on 16 (here's and example of ironsworks with it at 12: Oh and a, thanks in advance for help

(almost) all console commands: regurge.at/qlr_picmip 16 is the highest value and gives the lowest texture quality change the lighting to r_vertexlight 1 and play around with r_mapoverbrightbits and r_overbrightbits

I'm not sure of which list is the most complete, but I find this one easier to use : www.regurge.at/ql/About picmip, i believe it now caps at 10 (I still have 16 in my config, it works)
