After the Christmas from hell with her family round from Xmas Eve until today (29th) I decided to treat myself.

So I went to buy a new tv for the bedroom because we only have a small tv in the bedroom and it's on its last legs and thought I would be able to watch tv upstairs to pass the time.

But got slightly distracted

I ended up getting a mother hubbard 52 inch 3D Plasma TV.

I set it all up like an excited child, activated the 3D with sky and I was away.

Well about a few hour later she came back home with her family from some trip to Durham.

I was expecting her to go WOW that's amazing. But all I got was "What the F*** is that" Then her old man piped up saying what a waste of money. I sneered back it's my f****ing money I will do what I like with it, and I don't give a crap what you think or say.

Well I am thinking it is the best investment I have made in a long while because she hasn't spoken to me since and they went out all day yesterday in a strop, and just left about 15 mins ago for another day out

So my tip for getting out of socialising with the "inlaws" is to buy a new massive TV

She will be fine in a few days, after she realises I'm not going to back down or apologise lol.

Bit of a ramble but thought it was worth sharing

I've not hooked up the computer to it yet. But will give it a bash just for shits and giggles and sit really close to the tv.

I've mainly been watching 3D blu-rays and stuff thats been on sky tv.

Gran Turismo 5 on the ps3 gave me a rotten headache in 3D but that might have been the 6 bottles of cider and numerous glasses of port that done that.

She'll come round soon, if not she can just live upstairs lolololol.

I made progress though, instead of the silent treatment I got a hmmmph out of her.

As long as she sticks to the silent treatment for at least one more day because the football is on tonight in 3D Liverpool vs Newcastle come on you redmen

I might go out for the day and come back just before kick off that way the silent treatment won't be broken lol

Btw...If you have Sky that means you can watch the F1 races without commercials right? *Sighs* We get freakin' commercials every 6 rounds or something.

Last season (2011) the races were on the BBC so no commercials whatsoever.

But with sky this coming season, the race build up with have the annoying commercials but none will be shown during the race which I can't complain about really

Yeah I always switched to the BBC when the commercials were on...I like our Dutch commentator better, he's nuts lol. But now the BBC is only showing 10 races and the others are for sky...so I'm screwed and will have to watch commercials for 10 races lol!

*Edit: And you're right, it's not so bad during the build up, during the races is really annoying though... They say you can still follow it in the left corner of your tv screen, but it's so small you really can't see who is who...
