QL, even in QLPrism gets stutters and coughs on my new cheap PC laptop (Win7), So I made a Linux partition.. I used Wubi to install Ubuntu 11.10..Easy.. Then over to the QL forums for an XPI plug in for Firefox 64 bit... Then installed QL and moved my configs over from Win7.. Then installed QLprism for Linux 64bit. (easy) Game runs very, very smoothly and great fps.. I'm very happy with it..

Linux is so underrated.
Just one of those things that seems to get lost in the midst of the bill gates empire

I wonder, can I play QL on Android? especially Honeycomb distro? I've bought a Motorola XOOM and frankly this thing has got some moves in the gaming department. Playing QL on a Andro tablet would be something if not stupid then simply funny Imagine making flickshot=turning your tablet upside down in split second. Better than Wii in terms of muscle training

So far everything is smooth.. I hated the desktop..As a long time OSX user it looks like they tried to copy the dock and made a big botch up of it. I went to the Ubuntu forums and everyone else hated it too. The was a terminal command posted so you could revert to the gnome desktop.. All good now! Also as an OSX user.. I'm very familiar with the terminal from my old wifi "wardriving" days. ..So that should come in handy..

Even though, you have it allready running WUBI means it will just make a directory within windows and let you running Ubuntu from there (which you might not want cause it "can" cause you trouble) The best thing is to go for a new clean install. A little more adventureous, but the disc will guide you through the install just as ez

Actually sc0rpi.. Since I already duel boot OSX/Win7 on my macbook.. And this is a cheap Compaq CQ56 that I got for brand new in the box.. I'm thinking of making it Ubuntu only-- no dual boot. My macbook is core 2 duo ( 4 gigs ram) but with a crap intel X3100 card.. bad for QL.. But the computer is great for a lot of other things.. The compaq is single core (8 gigs ram--I upgraded it from 2) but with a better graphics card and plays QL great And I've already networked both comps .. No problem.. So, I'll probably Ubuntu the Compaq.. no duel booting with Win7..
