i.e favourite place to drink, not favourite person that drinks Seems appropriate to go off topic in the first post . But this used to be my old work boozer : www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/38/3837/Griffin/ShoreditchThe reviews got it about right. It was about as filthy and horrible a place as you could wish to visit. However I met my brother for a beer last week there and it had been cleaned ! The carpet had gone, they'd papered the walls. Fortunately they hadn't refurbed the bogs And there was a sign on the wall telling you what day it was : "today is Wednesday" it said. That's got to be a sign of something or other. Nice pint of Doom Bar too. www.thepublican.com/story.asp?storycode=64672

I've been in that pub Going back many moons though when I use to have a proper social life and London was my port of call every Friday and Saturday night. But after a while we use to end up at some skanky pub called the "flying scotsman" (I'm betting doc knows it) Basically loads of errrrrrm women (if you can call them that) hawking themselves for 50p a show and they come round with a jar before there little stage dance. I don't recommend it unless your between the ages of 18 and 20 because the beers like piss and the chicks are well errrrr lets just say not very nice www.fancyapint.com/Pub/london/the-flying-scotsman/2698My favourite pub ever is called the the ferry boat in a village called Holywell in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. I use to go there every sunday for my roast dinner and lots of real ales and always enjoyed it. Then I moved up north and just have not been back down that way to appreciate it again. But I might go back now I have thought about it when I go visiting. www.pub-explorer.com/cambs/pub/oldferryboatholywell.htmAnd there own website www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/st-ives/

My favorite place was back in the day that had "50 cent pitchers" on Wednesday. Lots of mayhem and other stuff usually ensued. . . .
