How to get more drunks to the board?

I'd like any ideas on how to get people that wear the drunk tag to come here.

Partially it's my fault.. float_dublin (our founder) lethana and myself simply hand out the tag at QL clan forum. lethana and I do have a link to the board in our siggy and usually ask them to stop by..

After that.. I can't remember invites,etc.

What I need to do.. is as soon as they accept the tag..is to put them on my friends list.

Also as many drunks are multi tagged and play only certain games and in where they live.. I'll never see them when I play. I'm American CTF.. I won't see a drunk CA player in E.U,etc

I've been looking at clancrawler and it lets you see active drunks playing,etc,even if they are using another tag..

..we got a lotta of active drunks..

What I'll do is contact them on their profile on QL in the hopes of getting some of them to stop by.. Any other ideas would be most welcome!



Also it will never come to the point that to get the drunk tag..you must join this board,play scrims,etc etc..

Well the forum and scrims are optional as they should be. If people can't be assed with all the clan stuff then that's cool. But i'm betting majority don't even know about the boards.

I suppose you could amend the clan advert to say to apply go to qldrunkclan.proboards.com/ yadda yadda yadda. But that will only affect new members that are applying.

Majority of drunk members on my friend list I hardly see online due to time differences and the ones I do see online are on the forums anyways.

I did have the forum address on my profile but for some reason it just wouldn't stick kept disappearing.

I think QL needs an offline messaging system so you can send messages to members and they receive them when they next come online.

We also have a lot of forum members who have registered here but not come back, maybe a mail shot "newsletter" ?

I did that a few days ago... You should have got the first newsletter. There might be a problem with that as I found out proboards sends out a mass mailing on my gmail (which gmail does not like)

I'll work further on this.. I know some of the mailing got through,because I got an answer from docpossible at chill clan.. He likes that we are setting up and working on the drunk youtube..

For those of you that have not been by the Board, It has been reorganized and it would be great to see you.

Scrims.. We have a weekly scrim with chill clan..All fun and for any Tier Player..

8 AM CST or 2 PM BMT on Saturdays.. We play on Pub maps.. 1 hour on an E.U server (Maidenhead) and one hour in America (Dallas)..

We are looking for prem/pro players to set up FT and iCTF... There will be room for 3 non prem players (first come first served)

Video.. We have set up the board so you can do Youtube, Vimeo,Quicktime and other forms of streaming your favorite frag movie!

Invites? Know someone that wants to be a drunk? Post on the board.. And I'll send the invite on it's way..

Oooooh that saves me a job then because I started typing a newsletter and was going to forward it to you later on.

Just checked I received the mail to my yahoo but not to outlook for some reason.

I will change that address later on because Yahoo is getting on my tits at the minute.

I could do that. But I won't.. You apply at QL clan forums.. You get your invite there..
