There is no need to sign up for this board to post in this section, anyone can make a post.

Just so everyone is caught up. We are planning on having a Freeze Tag tournament sometime after the holidays. I would like to shoot for a team size of 6 but that can be changed by popular demand. You can have as many people on your roster per team as you would like but each person can only be on the roster of one team. For now we are just trying to organize teams and see how many people are interested. Specific rules will be determined after everyone has had time to put together their teams.

The tournament website will be www.ebattlegrounds.com

Currently we have <DNA>, UFT, AI and possibly two or more teams from Pill. Let's spread the word and get as many teams together as possible. Anyone that does not have a team that would like to join, let us know here and we will find you a team. This tournament is for everyone. Let's have fun.



The folks with ebattlegrounds just finished a successful CA tournament and sign ups for the next CA tournament are under way as we speak. Registrations for CA are due by Jan 4th, tournament starts Jan 11th. Sign up here if you are interested in CA challonge.com/NACAopen. Minimum of 6 people per team for CA, no maximum. The brackets will switch over to the ebattlegrounds site once all sign ups are complete.

Freeze Tag tournament!

Freeze tag tournament anyone??? As many of you may know the fine folks at www.ebattlegrounds.com recently ran a successful CA tournament and they have approached me about running a FT tournament in the near future. So I would like to get a rough head count as to how many of you would be interested in particiapting in a FT tournament. Also, we need to discuss the format. One day tournament or multi week tournament (single or double elim), round robin, an entire league with playoffs at the end.... etc.

I know there are a lot of Pill clan members so feel free to split into multiple teams.

The future of this FT tournament is in all of our hands. Please discuss below, any feedback and/or ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Many of us will be interested. For tournaments, I would like to see freeze as more CA-style settings. Definitely weekends. One day or multi depends on what you can commit to. Multi is usually better because people have on and off days.

Thank you for organizing this and I don't think anyone will mind with what you decide

The tournament will not start until some time after the holidays, maybe after the CA tournament concludes. So that gives everyone plenty of time to organize a team. If you want to play but don't have a team please put your name below and we will find you a team. This tournament is for everyone.

Triopted and Lint, if either of you would like to organize a team please do so. In fact if you want to scrim DNA for practice I would be happy to arrange that.

I just want everyone to have fun.

The CA side of these tournaments are wanting their teams to all be in seperate clans or "steam groups". I don't think that will be necessary for FT. Just name your team something different like Pill 1 and Pill 2 or whatever, as long as each person only signs up on the roster of one team.

I agree funky, there are lots of clans in CA, but few in freeze. So, that is what we will do for our team, lots of groups, but each person can only be in one.

Is everyone starting to organize their teams?  We may open up team registration within the next couple weeks.  No need to have your roster of players complete at the time of registration.  You can add players to your roster between registration day and the beginning of the tournament.  Just looking to see how many teams are interested in participating.

Just a teaser, we are trying to set up a special match for the winners of this tournament so stay tuned.  Should be a good time.  I look forward to hearing from everybody, lets have fun!

I will probably be up for this is my wrist is. Still suffering from long term swelling and ligament problems it seems. Looking at returning to treatment within a week or two.

Also currently unemployed so it depends what I'm doing for a job when the time comes but yes, I would like to play.

Players wishing to participate in this tournament need to register a username on challonge.com then tell your team captain your username. It is up to the team captain to add each user to their own roster individually.



Everyone needs to register by January 18th. The tournament is scheduled to get underway one week later on January 25th.



I chose this start date because that will give the CA side 2 weeks to work out the bugs for us and then we can just follow in their footsteps.

5 maps is prob where you are looking at. 7 maps is also ok but borderline too much choice. You want to try and limit the amount of roflstomps and poor map choices that make teams less inclined to finish tournaments

Excellent!  We are looking at over 80 people so far, so there should be a lot of teams when it gets going..
