noob question - quad/bs (Read 215 times)

I've a got a noob question about quad and bs.  It's my understanding that quad increases your damage x3.  So naturally I had assumed bs decreases your damage inversely...but it doesn't.  I notice when quad uses lg against bs, it does 4 damage per cell.  Also when  regular player uses lg against bs it does 1 damage per cell.  So does quad increase damage x3 and bs decrease damage x4? 

My math goes like this, 6 (damage for lg) x 3 (quad) = 18 / 4 (bs) =  4.x and they drop the decimal values.  Likewise, without quad 6 / 4 (bs) = 1.x and again dropping the decimal values.  Is this correct?

All this time and I'm still learning the basic concepts of the game. lol

You are asking the wrong question. Its not how much Damage it does,, Its how long One can hang on to it.....

Quad does 2.5x damage, rather than 3. It matters more when you're dealing with higher damage... like rockets/rails/grenades. 

BS... I forget exactly how much it decreases damage taken. But the way it works is... you're basically immune to splash (negligable). When I shoot LG (6dmg base) at BS, I notice I do about 1 dmg per cell. Rail (80 dmg base) does about 20. The real perk to BS, I've found, is increased mobility- your own splash damage is reduced, so you can rocket jump into/out of situations, all while taking less damage.

Quad does more damage bs protects you,if one team has quad then yours goes for bs and other way.bs wins agains quad as you get more protection and quadrunner dies faster.and dont forget bs can run to lava without damage and rocketjump and dont forget to stick with your team around ra so al can take 1 befote quad respawns

You sure quad does 2.5 and not 3?  I could sworn it makes my lg hit 18 per cell and not 15.
