Rules and Guidelines (Read 1,380 times)

Basically after the disastrous event that was the WGA we need to implement some rules because it seems some players are getting a bit too comfortable with their position and think they can just turn up when they feel like it and skip matches and practice sessions.

Out of the whole iCTF and iFT team only 2 players gave notice that they couldn't play matches.  But still we were left without a team for last nights iCTF.  I am not going to name and shame.  No point because a few players have already been removed from qrunk and will have to stick with a drunk tag for a while until they prove to myself and terrorj they actually want to play.

Ok here is how we are going to roll with this.  This page will be edited over the course of the next coming days.  When complete I will put (complete) in the topic title.

You may comment on this page until I put (complete) because at that point this thread will be locked and posts will be removed.

So if you don't agree with something now is the time to say so.  Otherwise it will be too late.

Proposed rules (The rules will be used from 3 July when we get back to practice again)

All players will need to be present during practice sessions.  If you are unable to make practice then you need to post on this page.

• irc: All players playing in the practice session will need to join irc before it starts.  During this time we will be discussing what gametypes we will be playing that evening.  Plus also a basic plan of action that will be taking place that evening.

• Voice Communications.  Even if you don't have a microphone it would be nice if you could install TeamSpeak as you will hear vital information during the practice session.

• Pick your weapon - Do you want insta or do you want all weaps?  We will have 2 teams next season an all weaps TDM team and a iCTF team.  We will only allow a select few players to play both gametypes (Does not include FT tournament as is a drunk/chill event)

• Miss 2 practice sessions without letting us know over a period of 8 weeks will result in removal from qrunk or <q-i> or both.  After 8 weeks is up the practice sessions missed will reset.

• Be easy to contact.  If your not an irc regular we will need to find a way so we can contact you to let you know if you are needed to play a match.

• If your not online for 2 weeks without letting either terrorj or thewookster know will result in removal.

• Be online at least 30 minutes before each match on our irc channel #drunk so we know who is online and those players can then join the match irc channels at clanbase or wga to discuss server locations etc etc.  We need to do this because if we have to use a wildcard for a match (ability to re-arrange) then we have adequate time to do this because they normally have to be in either 15 minutes before match is due to start.  Any later is normally a forfeit loss which is not good.

prefer TDM and FT i think..

i can play iCTF but would rather not play in tournaments.
If you are short a player and need a team i can fill a space though.

Your good at both,but deleted you of insta wing 5 players left and 1 new try out.
Its only because I need to practice with a selected group of few players because of next cup
And i want players wo really go for it.

Definitely iCTF Terrorj! I enjoy that gametype a lot and have more experience in it, so I think I can offer the team more as well when it comes to iCTF. (I can still play FT then too right? Or not?)

Also, I do have some comments on the rules. 

Personally, I think they are good and fair rules and I'm happy to see some demands being made for membership of the qrunk part of drunk. I think some members didn't take part in any kind of clan activity or didn't show up when they said they would.

and it would be fair cos i've never been to training

I'd love to help out at prac tho, i just suck at times, even knowing what time it is atm is hard  and if its needed sure i can join scrims and stuff too

jorinde the FT thing is a drunk chill contest nothing to do with qrunk.  It's just a load of drunks/chills having a good time trying to win some prizes   So whatever happens that will not be a problem.  Mainly because the popularity of the mod isn't so good that getting it to a competitive level is so difficult because people tend to play CTF, iCTF and TDM at the moment.  But you are definitely in one of the FT teams

martinheterjag I will keep you with a qrunk tag, mainly because if I needed you to jump in for virtually any mod and you were online you would.  So I have no issues with keeping you as a sneaky reserve.  ^^^ the above rules are mainly aimed at players that say they will play then don't bother turning up

jorinde I don't think the above has any bearing on you anyways.

Because if you say you will play then you will play.  And if you can't play then you let us know.

Same with pavzz if we played more all weaps then I am sure if he said he would play then he would.  So again doesn't affect him really.

It is a small minority of players that have caused a few issues that we need to deal with.  Because we were very close to having to forfeit the other day because we have a team of 10 players yet only 3 turned up.

Nah its not personal guys,we are just doing this to make sure next cups wil go the way it should go.
And Qrunk is being used as where it was made for.(for al fun players theres the drunk tag,same board same practice and everything so it wont make much difference)
Same with q-i only  6 players left,with the meaning those players play as much as possible together now and get better plus to perfect that one cap of me  last match

But don't fret teams will be similar skill level
